HAVE A GO AT SAILING AS THE ROYAL ANGLESEY YACHT CLUB PUSHES THE BOAT OUT…
The RAYC invites you and your family to enjoy a free experience of sailing on the 9th 13th and 16th May as the club hosts an anyone-welcome taster sessions as part of national RYA Push the Boat Out. RYA Push the Boat Out (09-17 May) is a nine day nationwide event that will see hundreds of sailing clubs and centres across the country opening their gates for local people to come and ‘have a go’ at sailing and windsurfing. Whether you’re completely new to the sport, looking to get back on the water or sail regularly the RAYC will be one of the many sailing clubs and centres across the country taking part in RYA Push the Boat Out.
The event will see hundreds of people taking part in the sport at open days, have a go session. Sailing at the RAYC will take place during their usual racing on the Menai Strait, giving visitors the chance to enjoy the wonderful waters of the Strait with the views of the Mountains of Snowdonia and Beaumaris. Ewan McEwan the Sailing Captain for the RAYC said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out, we are inviting the local community to come down to the club, have a go at sailing our beautiful classic boats, see what the club has to offer and get involved, who knows if you visit you might just get hooked!” RYA Sport Development Manager Duncan Truswell said “Push the Boat Out provides the perfect opportunity for people to discover their local sailing venue, meet key volunteers and like-minded people, have a go at the sport and find out how much fun it is and how easy it is to get involved.” For full details about what’s going on at [name of club] visit [website] or follow the club on Facebook and Twitter.
